Trademark Renewal Shows Capcom Still Committed To Deep Down

Though we haven’t heard much from Capcom concerning their Dark Souls inspired RPG Deep Down, a recent extension of the game’s trademark in the United States should allay fears that it might end up as vaporware.

Originally, Deep Down was planning to launch its beta in 2014, which was quickly pushed back into 2015. When even the 2015 date could not be met, Capcom apologized last December with a couple of new screenshots.

Given the success of Capcom’s other RPG in the west, Dragon’s Dogma: Dark Arisen, it makes sense that they wouldn’t want to give up on Deep Down. We’ll keep you posted when and if any more information becomes available.

I forgot all about this game. Which will come out first? The last guardian, Half Life 3, or Deep Down?

If the similarities to Dragon’s Dogma and the PS4’s anemic hardware are anything to go by, this will probably also have garbage frame rates. If that turns out to be true, I’ll pass.

Despite that, I’m sure it’s still pretty deep down on their priority list of games to complete.

They should probably re-plan it for the PC then.

Trademark renewal shows Capcom still committed to waiting out any more Fromsoft games before releasing Deep Down.

This was supposed to be some F2P scam, right? Keep it, Capcom.

Drop Deep Down and either make Dragons Dogma 2 or bring Dragons Dogma Online to the west and cut it with the deep down nonsense.
You already have a RPG series people want but then again this is Capcom.

I’ll try it out, still don’t like Capcom for axing MML 3 though.
