A recent twitter posting by BioWare writer David Gaider has revealed that the one-time Dragon age lore manager has left the RPG developer after 17 years. Though it was believed it may be due to the new IP he and BioWare were working on being cancelled, a post by BioWare lead producer Cameron Lee disproved that theory.
Gaider had been working on Dragon Age and its continuing lore up until last year when he began work on the company’s new IP that is known to currently be in development. Though he hasn’t revealed what he’ll be doing next, he shouldn’t have trouble finding work in an industry where CRPGs are now bigger than ever.
He joins Ray Muzyka, Greg Zeschuk, and Trent Oster in the “former BioWare employees” group, where these high-level departures have contributed to the Canadian developer growing to look very different than it did in its Infinity Engine heyday.
