We’ve learned (via Ars Technica) that Chinese behemoth Tencent is now the sole owner of both Riot Games and League of Legends.

The Chinese software giant was previously the majority owner of the developer and its most lucrative IP, however a recent update regarding employee equity has confirmed Tencent went and purchased the remaining shares.

Riot Games talked up their new Chinese overlords. “We’re excited about the flexibility of this new approach to comp and believe it’ll help us continue to ensure Riot remains a great place to work.”
