This week’s Famitsu (via Hachima Kikou, Famitsu) has revealed Disaster Report 4 Plus: Summer Memories for PlayStation 4.

The game is the new version of developer Granzella’s previously teased revival for Disaster Report 4. The game was originally planned for a release in 2011 for the PS3, however it was subsequently cancelled due to the Tohoku earthquake and tsunami.

Some details from the Famitsu interview with series creator Kazuma Kujo have emerged, like how the game was originally cancelled because they couldn’t bring the project together.

Since its cancellation, time has been spent to improve the quality of the game, now with Granzella’s new studio, Gz Studio, developing the game. This new studio is made up of former staff from the Irem team.

The Plus in the title indicates that everything is being redone – with the original game being used as a base. You’ll begin the game as early as a few days after the disaster, with some locations changing over time.

The team is focusing on how much player decisions influence the protagonist, like eating bad food, not going to the bathroom, and more.

A new trailer for Disaster Report 4 Plus: Summer Memories is coming sometime this Friday, November 27th.
