Nexon Reveals a VR-Based MapleStory

Korean publisher Nexon has revealed they’re working on an VR-based prototype of their long-running MMORPG, MapleStory.

The new VR-based prototype seems to be something entirely new, as it’s rendered entirely in 3D (as expected). The prototype actually runs on both the Oculus Rift, as well as Samsung’s Gear VR.

Fans can expect to explore the world of MapleStory, but from a first-person perspective. You’ll be able to fight enemies with a club, axe, or a sword.

Nexon is showcasing this new prototype at this year’s G-Star expo, in Busan, South Korea – between November 19th and November 22nd.
