Microsoft has announced the release date for their highly-anticipated Xbox One update, which adds Xbox 360 backwards-compatibility, among a massive user interface overhaul.
The New Xbox One Experience, as they call it, will launch on November 12th worldwide. The new update comes with the aforementioned user interface overhaul, an optimized online store, access to popular features being “up to 50 percent faster,” a more social Community section, and more.
It’s worth mentioning that Xbox 360 backwards compatibility is not an across the board thing. So far the games supported include the Gears of War series, Mass Effect, the Viva Pinata series, among others.
