Atlus has revealed (via Famitsu) the debut screenshots for their newly announced 3DS follow-up, Shin Megami Tensei IV: Final.

The game is described as one having a multiple story, multiple ending, completely new sequel of sorts to the 2013 original. Player will be able to choose their partners from a group of companions, with each having their own unique abilities.

Specific examples given were Navarre using support magic and attack items, while Asahi uses recovery magic. The companions help the protagonist during every turn in battle. Partners will level up while the protagonist does, as well.

Shin Megami Tensei IV: Final is launching for the Nintendo 3DS in Japan on February 10th of next year.
