Firefly Studios have confirmed that a new game in the Stronghold franchise is currently in development.

The news comes via this year’s Gamescom expo, where the developer revealed the latest of their castle-building simulators. While details are currently scant, we do know the game will be a standalone game in the series, and it’s coming to PC.

However, the game is “very much at the concept stage,” so it might be awhile before we hear anything concrete about the game, unfortunately. Alongside the announcement of this new game is the news that Stronghold Kingdoms, their browser spinoff, is coming to iOS devices.

Stronghold Kingdoms is coming to iOS “when it’s ready,” and it’s being rebuilt specifically for iOS devices. We’ll keep you guys posted.
