In an interview with Famitsu, series producer Katsuhiro Harada said that Tekken X Street Fighter is still in development, despite being announced at San Diego Comic Con five years ago.

“That isn’t true! I’ve said this before, but the bottom line is that we’re at a very advanced stage into its development,” said Harada. “It may not seem like we haven’t started development at all, but the character lineup has been finalized a long time ago, and we’ve already completed the in-game models, moves, and systems.”

Katsuhiro Harada has been busy developing the Pokemon tournament fighter Pokken Tournament, as well the virtual reality concept game Summer Lesson for the PS4’s Project Morpheus.

We’ll have to wait and see when he’ll decide to share more information in the future.
