This week’s Famitsu (via Hachima Kikou) has revealed a new game from the Grand Knights History director, Tomohiko Deguchi.

With publishing duties being handled by Spike Chunsoft, the new game is currently 65% done, and it will release later this year on both PlayStation 4 and PS Vita. It’s called simply: Grand Kingdom, and it’s being developed within Deguchi’s studio, MonoChro.

The game is similar to its predecessor in that it takes place in a world filled with magic, swords, and warfare. Players can expect turn-based battles in which they issue orders to their mercenaries.

There are four major parties fighting for control, and just like the original, you can pledge towards a certain nation to support in military conquest. However, the game is not related to the original, neither in story or in its key systems.

While the game is listed as an online RPG, there is an offline mode. Players can fight others that belong to any of the other four nations, and you can even take more territory via battles, and defending your own.

Grand Kingdom is coming with a pretty robust story experience, featuring full voice support and dialogue scenes with animated portraits. The voice cast thus far includes:

  • Gladius Ringland (voiced by Ryoka Yuzuki)
  • Grahm Berngaldo (voiced by Kenjiro Tsuda)
  • Julius Wiseman (voiced by Shintaro Asanuma)
  • Preshia Tera (voiced by Miho Arakawa)

We’ll keep you guys posted.
