Alongside the new and final look at the Steam Controller, Valve has confirmed the global release date for their Steam Link, and their upcoming SteamOS powered rigs, also known as the long-awaited Steam Machines.

The public will be able to readily purchase Steam Machines on November 10th. If you pre-order one of the various models, you’ll be able to get your rig as early as this October 16th. To be clear, the pre-orders that come early are only through GameStop or Steam itself, and only for a limited time. Our European and Canadian friends will be able to get the controller or Steam Link early via pre-ordering through Steam, GameStop, EB Games, Micromania, or GAME UK.

Some of the Steam Machines are very humble offerings to get you going, like the above pictured Alienware configuration, which sets you back $449.00. Other higher end machines can be as expensive as $5000. Other machines can be found via manufacturers like Asus, iBuyPower, Origin, and more.

For those curious what Steam Link is, the device (priced at $50) lets you stream PC games to your TV, over your local network. The Steam controller pairs with this, making it easy for you to make any television a potential way of playing things off your existing rig.
