New Kingdom Come: Deliverance Video Showcases Clothing System

One of the best things about CRPGs is that you can spend hours dressing up your character in thousands of different costumes, all creating a unique look that best fits the kind of person you want to play. This idea of a virtual dress-up game is carried over into Warhorse’s upcoming open world epic Kingdom Come: Deliverance, and the above video does an excellent job of showing how.

Though the video seems to be done by a tester and he can’t confirm if some of these features will be carried over, he does mention that the system is so detailed that you can, when wearing clothes you looted from a dead person, catch a disease from the tainted fabric. Perhaps less disgusting is the audacious claim that the game’s clothing variety is so vast that a 1,000 man army could be placed in the world and not a single one of them would have the same clothes on.

Adding more realism to the system is that each piece of clothing, whether its cloth or metal, will have it’s own strengths and weaknesses as far as defense is concerned. They will also be subject to blood staining, which probably means we’ll need a good bar of soap and a wash basin if we want to keep our shirts clean in the game.
