We’ve learned (via Famitsu) that a new version of Guilty Gear Xrd is coming.
The new version, dubbed simply Guilty Gear Xrd: Revelator, is coming to Japanese arcades. The new version brings with it two new characters, which you can see below:
Johnny Sfondi, the infamous pirate, is the only new character to be confirmed thus far. The second character, shown above, will be revealed in time.
Revelator is a new version of the game, coming with new systems, the expected balancing, the aforementioned new characters, and even a new playing mode.
The new “Stylish Mode” is actually coming to the game, a beginner’s method of playing seen in the BlazBlue series. Fans looking to wet their feet can play in this mode and enjoy simpler controls.
Location tests for Guilty Gear Xrd: Revelator are planned between June 5th to the 19th, and from June 19th through the 21st. While a western release wasn’t confirmed, the Arc System Works official Facebook page shared a link for the announcement, saying:
Johnny. A new character. A new control scheme.
Say hello to Guilty Gear Xrd -REVELATOR-!
Such a tease. We’ll keep you guys posted.
