Yokai Watch Busters, an expanded, standalone version of the Yokai Watch 2 mini-game, is due out in Japan for the Nintendo 3DS on July 11.

The game will come in two versions, Akanekodan and Shiroinutai, more details about which will be revealed later. Busters‘ story will be told from the perspective of yokai rather than humans, and will somehow link to Yokai Watch 2: Shinuchi. It will feature new and old yokai, all of which will be playable, and over 25 bosses for players to defeat. The game will also have online play.
