The first preview for Taiko Drum Master: V Version has been posted by Famitsu, and the game already looks like it’ll carry on the strong vision of it’s predecessors.
Taiko Drum Master: V Version will let players pick from 80 songs, collected from various anime, video games, and even Vocaloid tracks.
Included in this release of Taiko is a new mode called “Donda Quest,” which will have players play through a story mode with a fantasy setting using the game’s already renown rhythm game with RPG-style battles. The main character of this mode will be Don-chan, who was summoned through a book to this fantasy world. Together with the heroine Maple (VA: Ari Ozawa) Don-chan must defeat “Revolution”, an ancient dragon.
The game is currently set for release in Japan on July 9th for PS Vita at a price point of 5,690 yen without tax.
