It seems like GaijinWorks is teasing yet another localization (via NeoGAF), and yet again it’s for the Playstation Portable.
Over on their official website, they posted the following update:
“The answer, with details and English media, is coming next week…”
So while this teaser is quite nebulous, it hasn’t stopped fans picking apart any possible hints that lie in the above image. The clear gradient coming from blue to green is probably what GaijinWorks’ boss Victor Ireland meant by the clue within the teaser, but other than that – it’s hard to decipher much.
However, Ireland has been teasing this new reveal for the past year or so, and we’ve compiled various worthwhile bits of information, pertinent to the new game.
We know the game is from a major Japanese publisher but it’s not a Square Enix game, not the PSP Suikoden game Genso Suikoden: Tsumugareshi Hyakunen no Toki, and not the original Oreshika game. Things get interesting when Ireland says it’s a sub-genre that he enjoys, it’s turn-based, and that the success of the project could mean localization of future games in the series.

A trailer for Summon Night 3
Coming from this, we can deduce that it’s a game within an ongoing series, and that it features blue and green in some way (probably the game’s box art). My guess? It’s Summon Night 3 – a game originally released on the Playstation 2 in 2003, only to be re-released on the PSP in 2012.
The mainline Summon Night games (there are five in total, but only 3-5 are on PSP) are essentially strategy turn-based RPGs with visual novel and dating sim elements. It’s worth mentioning that whatever this new localization turns out to be, it will be playable on the Playstation Vita as well.
We’ll keep you guys posted.
