Tokyo-based doujin creator Ojiro Fumoto has been showing off his brilliant platformer, Downwell.
While the game was originally confirmed for iOS and Android (as it is meant to be played in portrait mode), he confirmed at this year’s Game Developers Conference that the game is also coming to PC as well.
The news came alongside a swanky new website for the game, all done by Fumoto, which helps describe how the game functions – and what platforms it’s coming to.
In Downwell, you play as a little guy who just so happens to have very powerful guns on his boots. Imagine the titular witch Bayonetta, but if she was a little pixelated white dude.
As you progress further downward, you’ll have to clear traps and strange monsters in a seemingly bottomless well. The goal is to clearly use your gun-shoes to your full advantage, blasting paths through enemies and traps alike.
A specific release date for Downwell hasn’t been confirmed, but we’ll keep you guys posted.
