Hyperdevotion Noire: Goddess Black Heart is Rated for PC by the ESRB [UPDATE]

Hyperdevotion Noire Goddess Black Heart 12-18-14-4

[UPDATE: We’ve gotten a clarification from an Idea Factory International representative, who said:

Right now, we don’t have any plans to put Noire on Steam but when we submitted to ESRB we included PC to be on the safe side if we ever did decide to do a PC release.

We’ll let you guys know if anything changes.]

It seems like Idea Factory International is looking to bring the Sting-developed strategy RPG, Hyperdevotion Noire: Goddess Black Heart, to PC.

The news comes from @Staz117 (via Gematsu) who noticed the game’s ESRB page being updated to show not only its originally confirmed PS Vita platform, but PC as well.

We’ve contacted Idea Factory International for comment, but this makes sense considering the company’s previous statements of bringing more games to PC, via Steam.

It’s worth noting that Hyperdimension Neptunia Re;birth 1 just launched on Steam last week, while Hyperdimension Neptunia Re;Birth 2 and Fairy Fencer F are still coming to Steam as well.

I’ve already committed to the series on Vita. Still, this is great news!

Great news if you don’t have a Vita or Playstation TV and have the PC specs.

I imagine all Neptunia games onward will release on steam, and I will buy them all.

Awesome! I’m guessing one of the mains reasons for this is that Neptunia Rebirth 1 has been stuck in the top 20 on Steam since it released (#17 currently)

While I’ll get it on the Vita when I do get Noire or Rebirth 2, it’s nice to see Neptunia games doing well on Steam despite the initial bugs. Hopefully, future releases will be less problematic.

That’s great. The more PC ports, the better.

Just note, IF, that if I have to continually download fan patches to increase the resolution or constantly face DLC recognition errors then I’ll very quickly lose my enthusiasm.

It’s their first release on the platform so we’ll give them a free pass. At least it isn’t as bad as the FFXIII/-2 ports

They patched in official 1080p support by now. The DLC recognition was silly, but at least one problem there, if not two, were due to the Steam Client being dumb, so I’m willing to overlook that, as it was fixed quickly.

Overall, I’m pleased with their support so far. I was highly critical of the lack of communication up until launch, but they seem quick to learn and improve.

“Right now, we don’t have any plans to put Noire on Steam but when we submitted to ESRB we included PC to be on the safe side if we ever did decide to do a PC release”……Well I’ll give them credit for being honest and upfront about the whole thing. Could have been worse, they could have pulled all of our strings and never say anything to us.

That’s pretty much exactly what they said when the Re;Birth 1 rating was discovered.

They said the same about Rebirth and look where we are now.

It’s useless to hide your plans from the trademark and ERSB hunters!

Bringing it to the PC is indeed, the safe side.

I bought Neptunia Rebirth, by the way. I’ll be playing it after Valkyria Chronicles is done.

You’re right, I will give them credit in that they did get those issues fixed fairly quickly after launch. That’s good on them. But I guess it’s a moot point right now, since the game isn’t actually planned yet for PC.

Sort of looks like the fan feed back has decided for you, hasn’t it IF. Weird how that works.

    Thirded!

I wasn’t sure I was going to like Hyperdimension Neptunia Re;Birth 1 at first, and I didn’t for a while, but the gameplay and characters grew on me, and I’m going through New Game+, now.

Looking forward to purchasing the rest of the series, especially on Steam, as I don’t have a PS VITA and honestly am not much of a Handheld gamer.
