Last week, Nintendo revealed a brand new Fire Emblem game for the Nintendo 3DS during their latest Nintendo Direct broadcast.
Titled Fire Emblem If, the game has a more Asian style than its predecessors, which were inspired more by medieval Europe. While many fans are expecting to wait months for a western localization announcement, it seems like that might not be too far off.
This is a rumor for now: an email circulating from Nintendo Australia (thanks, Go Nintendo) has lead people to believe that Nintendo is already planning on localizing the game:
The game is listed as “Fire Emblem (working title)” but this is expected with such an early announcement (or leak?), as the name “Fire Emblem If” doesn’t exactly roll off our filthy gaijin tongues that well.
Fire Emblem If is launching some time this summer in Japan, exclusively for the 3DS. We’ll keep you guys posted.
