Now that we know that Etrian Mystery Dungeon is being localized for Western audiences, these updates are a lot more meaningful.
The official site for Etrian Mystery Dungeon‘s just opened, and revealed new information about the game: the four character classes which will be available to players that we know of so far are the landsknecht, a swordsman focused on doling out damage; the medic, who heals characters and removes (and inflicts …) status effects; the protector, a defensive role for soaking up damage; and the runemaster, the magic user of the game.
Each character class has two models and four colour schemes, for a total of eight visual customisation options each. Weapon selection will further alter the appearance of each player’s character model.
Each of the classes got their own video, too. Check them out below.
It’s in Japanese but, if you’re interested, you can check out the official site for the game here.
Etrian Mystery Dungeon, AKA Etrian Odyssey and the Mystery Dungeon, will be available on the 3DS some time in March 2015 for us English speakers.
