The Squid-like Splatoon is Heading to Wii U in Q2 of 2015

Nintendo has confirmed that Splatoon, their squid- and ink-filled multiplayer shooter of sorts, is coming in Q2 of next year.

Featured above, you can view a brand new trailer for the game, which shows off the game’s single player campaign. I’ve got to hand it to the internal team at Nintendo, Splatoon has quite a lot of charm and originality. If the single-player campaign is anything to go by, it looks totally weird and unpredictable, too.

We’ll keep you guys posted.

I don’t really care if it has a single player. It is nice at least. I can’t get over the vibe of it looking like something from Nickelodeon and being adorable with those squid twin tail hair designs.

I was hyped when I thought it was only gonna be MP. But this new footage of the SP campaign is friggin’ sweet!! After the trailer I could only think, “Man!! Six more months?? How am I supposed to wait that long?!”

Oh wow, the SP looks pretty damn good instead of being tacked on to the MP (or vice versa). Really looking forward to this!

Gonna be honest, I’ll probably never play SP until way after MP is dead))
