Having recently undergone Bile Duct surgery, Nintendo CEO and media personality Satoru Iwata is apparently well enough to return to work. Even if you aren’t a Nintendo fan, you have to admire the guy, since the surgery was done to remove a tumor—no small matter. The surgery, which took place this past June, was responsible for his absence at E3, and fans were understandably concerned for his well-being. Thankfully, he seems finally to be out of the woods.
Iwata returns to a Nintendo that is having some impressive success with the rebounding Wii-U; the new console has seen an additional 610,000 units sold this past 2nd quarter alone.
