Fresh off this week’s Famitsu magazine, we’ve learned that Freedom Wars finally has a release date in Japan. The online multiplayer action game will be hitting Playstation Vita on June 26th.
The game will retail at 5,800 yen (pre-tax) and digitally via the Playstation Store at 4,800 yen (pre-tax). If you manage to snag a first run copy, you’ll get an exclusive “formal wear” costume and battle item pack that comes with weapons like the “TB-32/H” sword and the “AAW-M2” rocket launcher.
On the day of launch, the game is coming with the story mode, free volunteer mode, four player ad-hoc, and City-State War modes. An update that will be coming post-launch will bring more volunteers, an infrastructure mode, a whopping eight player multiplayer mode, and player versus player combat.
Eventually, a second update will bring an Ideology War mode, which has yet to be detailed, but it definitely sounds intriguing. A western release has not been confirmed, but we’ll keep you guys posted.
