Aquaplus has been working on quite a few different games recently, most notably Aquapazza: Aquaplus Dream Match and Tears to Tiara 2. Both of the aforementioned games are very different in terms of gameplay, and Utawarerumono 2 is yet another game they have up their sleeve.
The game is a sequel to the original which launched on Playstation 2, it was basically an even mix of a visual novel and a strategy RPG. Although details are scant, Aquaplus has confirmed in a publisher meeting that development for the game is going smoothly.
No further details were given unfortunately, but they did confirm that development for their other game, Jasmine, is proving difficult.
