One Way Heroics is an apocalyptic, scrolling JRPG, and it plays out exactly how it sounds. The game is set in a world being covered by an ever-growing darkness, putting you in the shoes of the world’s last adventurer, who must defeat the Demon Lord (who could be the source of it all).
In the game, you can explore multiple dimensions, each featuring their own unique and randomized elements, as the entire game is procedurally generated. Even though you’ll be dying a lot, each completed session (death or not) will give you points to spend on unlocking new classes, skills, and so on.
Some examples of playable classes are a pirate, who is skilled at traveling over water (naturally), or a knight, who is donned in heavy armor and also sporting a protective shield. You can develop a playstyle depending on what kind of class and abilities you want, as you’ll probably be several dozens of attempts in before ever getting close to the end of the game.

The game is developed by Japanese indie studio Smoking WOLF, and is now available in full English thanks to PLAYISM. The game is only $1.99 on the PLAYISM store, so definitely go check it out there.
