If you’ve been following my writing for any amount of time, you’ll find I’m a huge fan of shmups, so it’s only natural that Sony and Housemarque’s Resogun gets me all giddy like a schoolgirl. Sony and Housemarque have released a new trailer and behind the scenes video for the game.
The Worlds of Resogun trailer shows off the worlds you’ll be visiting in the game, with a full rendering of a world being totally destroyed.

The behind the scenes clip has a few of the developers from the team at Housemarque talking about what Resogun is all about. Some interesting tidbits are that the game is constructed from “gazillions” of 3D voxels, that all of the names of the worlds are based on Greek and Roman mythology, and that this game is being touted as Housemarque’s bullet hell game.

I dunno about you guys, but some of Housemarque’s previous entries into the shmup genre have been pretty wild and fun, so hearing Resogun being considered a bullet hell game gets me even more excited.
Resogun is a Playstation 4 launch title, and will also be free for Playstation Plus members.
