Level-5 has revealed an ambitious new RPG project for all next-gen platforms including Playstation 4, Xbox One and Wii U titled simply “Wonder Flick.” The game is even coming to mobile devices.

Wonder Flick features music by Nobuo Uematsu, it will share save data across every platform and it will also feature an exclusive dungeon on each platform as well.

The game is being planned, produced and directed by Level-5 boss Akihiro Hino. It will feature monster designs by Professor Layton and Inazuma Eleven’s Tokuzo Nagano and character designs by Final Fantasy XIII’s assistant character designer Nao Ikeda.

Wonder Flick will have second screen support on Playstation 4 via smartphones and tablets and on Xbox One it will support an alternate screen via Xbox’s Smart Glass technology.

Key to the game is the ability to create your own character and explore a vast world through the field map, visit towns, explore through dungeons and of course – go on quests. Combat is described as “flick-based”, hence the game’s title I suppose.

The mobile version of the game is coming out this November as a free to play game while the console version will be launching next year. You can check out the game’s website here.
