Neon is the new black. 10tons Studios, the makers of the solid twin-stick shooter, Crimsonland, have announced their newest game, NeonChrome.

Taking the success and feedback from Crimsonland, the team have created a new, top-down and faced paced cyberpunk shooter, set in the distant future. The game is aimed at an 80’s-like setting, similiar to Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon.

Neon Chrome isn’t just the name of the game but also the setting for the which the game takes place in. Neon Chrome is an arcology, a massive mega-city with thousands of people that serve its citizens through a variety of needs. It is an entirely self-sufficient city,  all run by the Rooswahl Corporation and its chief entity, the Overseer.

There are shady secrets within however, and it’s up to the player to fight back. Players will use a variety of weapons, including plasma cannons and conversion rays, to take on drones, robots, cyborgs, and a variety of other defenses in an attempt to discover the truth.

NeonChrome arrives on the PS4 later this year.
