Publisher Fellow Traveller and developer sunset visitor have announced more console ports for 1000xRESIST, their “hyper-cinematic narrative adventure” game.
1000xRESIST is coming to Xbox Series X|S and PS5 early next month, on November 4th.
The narrative adventure game was originally released for Windows PC (via Steam, GOG, the Epic Games Store, and the Humble Store) and Switch back in May 2024.
Here’s a rundown on the game, plus a new trailer:
Set 1,000 years in the future, in 1000xRESIST you become a Watcher named Iris as the end of humanity is nigh. After a mysterious alien race arrives, referred to as the Occupants, bringing with it a terrible disease, humanity is all but wiped out. The survivors head underground and begin to serve the ALLMOTHER who rules this new society.
Iris, one of six “Sisters” with specific roles, has great responsibility as a Watcher and is provided access to all of the ALLMOTHER’s memories including the tragedy of how humanity was wiped out. However, when a fellow Sister uncovers the ALLMOTHER’s lies and is executed for her treason, Iris must resist all that she has been taught and fight to uncover the truth.
The Peabody-award winning and Hugo and Nebula-nominated game received high praise in 2024 and was featured on several game of the year lists, for its rich narrative, striking soundtrack, and more than 10 hours of fully voiced dialogue. As the hit title comes to more platforms and languages, Fellow Traveller and sunset visitor 斜陽過客 are delighted to share it with more players for the first time.
