The new Niche Video takes a thorough look at the phenomenon of video games being lost to time, whether its through physical media degradation or through online-only or live-service games being shut down.

The main concern here is that 1000s of digital games will ultimately be lost forever. In come cases preservationists can make backups or recreate servers for online games, but unfortunately the majority of games will be lost.
