I’m not really a fan of the Battle Royale trend currently sweeping the industry, but indie developer Digital Confectioners has just released an interesting take on the genre for PC with Last Tide.
Like with all Battle Royale games, Last Tide puts a large number of players, 100 to be exact, in a massive environment so they can pick each other off with scavenged equipment until only one remains. What makes Last Tide so unique is the setting.
As you can see in the trailer above, Last Tide is set in the ocean, and players will have to contend with swarms of bloodthirsty sharks in addition to their human rivals. Digital Confectioners expects the game to be in Early Access for around a year. It’s currently $14.99, but this price is subject to change upon its full release.
