The time has finally come for the biggest month in gaming. As always, November is when many major publishers try to get their games in just in time for the holiday season when many will be shopping for deals and Christmas next month.
This year, there are numerous games releases that most people didn’t see coming. However, that should only give gamers more options to choose from to find their new favorite game.
Farmagia
From Marvelous, the developers behind many farming sim titles comes yet another in the genre. But don’t think they’ve exhausted all their ideas yet as they team up with famed manga artist Hiro Mashima with his signature art style to bring Farmagia to life.
Beyond the usual farming gameplay, players will also be participating in combat by commanding armies of monsters they grew on their own farm. The sheer size of battles is tremendous as players will be able to mix and match to create powerful combos.
Farmagia launches on Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 5, and PC (via Steam) on November 1st.
Death Note: Killer Within
Perhaps not a title many would’ve expected to launch here in 2024, but there will be a new Death Note game gracing us this month. Not only that, but none of us would’ve ever expected it to be based on popular social deduction titles such as Among Us!
Players will be split into team of five, both representing main characters Light and L, as each side must attempt to find where the Death Note among their ranks. With high-stakes and unique roles to gather the right clues to find the truth will certainly make this one of the more interesting games to come out this year.

Metal Slug Tactics
The Metal Slug franchise returns with a brand-new twist on the formula that requires a bit more strategy rather than reflex skills. The tactical gameplay on display is more akin to the likes of popular titles in the genre such as Final Fantasy Tactics or Disgaea.
Players will be able to choose and leaders famous characters of the series past with a vast variety of weapons and mods in order to destroy their opponents in strategically challenging levels.
Metal Slug Tactics takes charge on November 5th for Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PC (via Steam and GOG).
Mario & Luigi: Brothership
The Mario Bros are back with their latest adventure in Brothership. This time, they’ll journey through the world of Concordia with their part ship, part island contraption. Through their brotherly bond, they’ll have to find a way to find out the cause of the chaos and bring the islands back together.
Mario and Luigi aren’t just brothers in name only as the pair will team up to deal with the various threats around them. For players, this means they’ll be control both brothers at the same time to jump, dodge, attack, and so much more.
Mario & Luigi: Brothership sets sail on November 7th exclusively for Nintendo Switch.
Slitterhead
Slitterhead brings back action oriented horror as players control a spirit that has no physical body of its own. Instead, they’ll have to rely on their ability to possess and control humans in order to do battle against the monsters known as Slitterheads.
They won’t only have run-of-the-mill people to control either. There exists humans known as “Rarities” that wield power and strength beyond a normal human, allowing them to do battle against even the toughest of foes.
Slitterhead is set to launch on November 8th for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC (via Steam and Epic Games Store).
Dragon Quest III HD-2D Remake
Dragon Quest III is the next in line to receive the Square Enix HD-2D remake treatment. While the third game in the franchise, it’s actually the first chronologically in the Erdrick trilogy. Though fans of the original trilogy shouldn’t worry as the other two will be getting their own remakes soon enough.
As for this game, it features the beautiful modern retro look graphical style of other critically acclaimed JRPGs from the company. It’s the Dragon Quest III experience that many gamers fell in love with decades ago while also updating certain features for more modern gamers.
Dragon Quest III HD-2D Remake is set to release for Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC (via Steam) on November 14th.
Lego Horizon Adventures
The Horizon series sees a new entry in a way no one saw coming. Trading in photorealistic graphics or something a bit more… Blocky. Players will experience the world of Horizon and characters such as Aloy through the lens of the more kid friendly and fantastical style of legos.
Chances are if you’ve played a Lego game before, you already have an idea of what’s to come with this new title. You’ll do battle against the robotic creatures of the Horizon’s universe and you’ll be able to enjoy it with friends and family through the inclusion of couch co-op.
Lego Horizon Adventures gets building on November 14th for Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 5, and PC (via Steam and Epic Games Store).
S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chornobyl
After a wait of a decade and a half, S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chornobyl is finally on its way despite the many setbacks, including the bringing of a war. The game features one of the largest game worlds of all time in the form of “The Zone” where people enter to find riches or even the truth.
Players will gun their way through radioactive monsters and other people across various faction as they explore “The Zone”. Through the decisions they make, they may very well learn the truth hidden within the “Heart of Chornobyl”.
