Far Cry 5 Delayed to March 27, 2018

Ubisoft has announced a delay for Far Cry 5.

The latest in their open-world shooter franchise will forgo its planned release on February 27th for one on March 27th of next year.

Ubisoft notes the reasoning behind the delay is to “make some additional improvements that will bring the best, most ambitious Far Cry experience in line with the team’s original vision.”

Far Cry comes to America in the latest installment of the award-winning franchise.

Welcome to Hope County, Montana, land of the free and the brave but also home to a fanatical doomsday cult known as Eden’s Gate. Stand up to cult leader Joseph Seed, and his siblings, the Heralds, to spark the fires of resistance and liberate the besieged community.

    They need to figure out a way to avoid fucking up like Wolfenstein 2 did with the goofy advertising. Maybe this will give them more time to brainstorm.

    That, and make something actually new in their game, it feels like Far Cry 3.7 for dick’s sake! Same complaint could be applied to Cuckstein 2.

    No, they don’t give a fuck about the “team’s original vision”, they’re just trying to avoid another PR nightmare, especially now when gamers are paying attention at these greedy companies.

    Anybody know how Wolfenstein II did on sales? It looks like it bit them hard. I saw it selling for 25 dollars a couple weeks after release and staying in stock for a long time – of course, black Friday prices and all – but the lowest most games that recent dipped was $40.
