Divinity: Original Sin 2 Sells Over 1 Million Copies

Larian Studios has announced Divinity: Original Sin 2 has sold over one million copies.

The crowdfunding-sequel managed to sell over a million copies only a few months after its full release in September of this year.

Larian posted the above image over on Twitter, with the following message:

… at least, not without the best fans in the world! In just a couple of months we’ve roared past this huge landmark, and it’s all down to you!

Divinity: Original Sin 2 is now available for PC via Steam. In case you missed it, you can find our thorough review for the game here (we highly recommend it!).

“but…but… all pc gamers are pirates!”

Good for them. Can’t wait for the console version.

I tried playing this coop with a friend, I got us murdered when I wouldn’t stop touching this bitches cooking pot.

Easily one of the best games this year. Well done Larian, you earned this much and then some.

But aren’t games too expensive to make nowadays?I thought that,in order to make a profit, you need to suck your customers dry by adding gambling mechanics and microtransactions.

    I pirated it

Then I bought it after a few hours because the game was great.

Good for them, both first and second Original Sin are great games, it’s great to see good developers actually doing good, i await more great games to come.

And those are just the copies sold on distributor platforms, as in, not including the copies that the crowdfunders got.

It’s an awesome game. already have over 70 hours in it and I bet I got plenty more to go. If you are RPG fan do yourself a favor and get this game. If you are not a PC gamer, get it when it comes out on consoles. you will not regret it.

No, gamers just aren’t interested in sprawling single player games anymore. Buy more overwatch loot boxes to customize your favorite fetish-I mean diverse independent hero.

This is how the majority of those with an inkling of conscience and the bare minimum of spending money operate.

Still not even halfway through the first, so waiting for a deep sale is easier for me. Definitely on my short buylist though.

Sin 2 is much better than the first. So you have something to look forward to :)

I know the feeling, my friend playing a dick-ass theif kept stealing then dumping the items in my inventory. Eventually NPCs stopped even bothering to check him and would start attacking as soon as they noticed something was missing.

A question to those who played this game:
does every enemy attack still cripples you and takes away stat points? That was my main problem with the first one, every time my chars got hit their stuff would fall off them because some stat got lowered.
