Despite being announced in February of this year and getting delayed beyond its planned August release, we’ve learned the physical release for Thomas Happ’s sci-fi metroidvania Axiom Verge is finally releasing this month.
A release date is set for November 21st in North America and January 26th in Europe across PlayStation 4, PS Vita, Wii U, and the Nintendo Switch. The new “Multiverse Edition” of the game (published by BadLand Indie) includes the following:
- Copy of the game disc/cartridge.
- Deluxe booklet with developer’s commentary and art.
- Double-sided poster with the world map and weapons/items in the game.
- Exclusive making-of documentary.
Furthermore, the Nintendo Switch version of the game also comes with an official soundtrack, with a slightly higher $39.99 price tag, when compared to the soundtrack-less versions that are only $29.99.
Axiom Verge has been available for PC, Max, Linux, PlayStation 4, PS Vita, Wii U, Xbox One, and the Nintendo Switch.
