WOW, by the creators of Danganronpa?! I’m all fucking in! WE DID IT SONYBROS!

    Deal. Give me.

Haven’t played any of the Danganronpa games, but I do like dungeon crawlers, so this could be interesting.

    Premise of the game.
World ended. Only 8 people survived.
Those 8 people are clones what only lives 13 days and die.
But don’t worry. You get ressurrect with an clone body.

Interesting take on the ‘characters die but someone inherits their skills’ game. But isn’t first person dungeon crawler kind of overdone? Specially on the vita?

Nah, Wizardry clones are awesome. I’m very glad the genre has experienced a rebirth.

Kinda hope for a PC release, though, because I only own one VIta and it’s not getting firmware updates.

  • Maria Maasaa

Pretty broad statement there. So because you enjoy ‘wizardry’ style games that are all good?

Why would you own more than one Vita?

  • The Atom

It looks more story-driven than most on the vita, and it looks like there will be real-time movement from (FOE-like) enemies (though I guess that’s like Mary Skelter), and I’m unsure of whether battles will happen in a typical turn-based/ATB fashion.

That’s at least what I have in mind that could set this apart.

  • Maria Maasaa

Not sure how much story you want but all the first person dungeon crawls I’ve played have lots of story. Well, maybe not stranger in sword city so much.

Like you said, other games do this. Playing through Mary Skelter myself. It looks to be turn based.

I think the only thing that really sets this apart is how they handle character death/aging/skill transfer.

  • The Atom

That’s been a bit more trendy recently, but I think Etrian Odyssey (obviously not the Untold ones) are a good indication of typical DRPGs: they don’t give much more than a reason to explore

  • Maria Maasaa

Do you really need more then that? You can always make up a reason yourself. There is also a story to the game one you dig into it.

Good for them for trying something new, but too bad it has an FPS perspective. Day 1 nevertheless.
