L.A. Noire Remaster Announced for PS4, Xbox One, Switch, and HTC Vive

Rockstar Games has announced a remaster for L.A. Noire.

The newly remastered version will launch across HTC Vive, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and the Nintendo Switch on November 14th.

Here’s a breakdown of each version:

  • L.A. Noire: The VR Case Files for HTC Vive delivers seven of the original engrossing, self-contained cases from L.A. Noire rebuilt specifically for virtual reality, blending breathtaking action with true detective work to deliver an unprecedented interactive experience.
  • L.A. Noire for the Nintendo Switch features the complete original game and all additional downloadable content, with specific enhancements including a Joy-Con mode with gyroscopic, gesture-based controls, HD rumble and new wide and over-the-shoulder camera angles, plus contextual touch screen controls for portable detective work.
  • L.A. Noire for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One delivers the complete original game and all additional downloadable content with a range of technical enhancements for greater visual fidelity and authenticity, including enhanced lighting and clouds, new cinematic camera angles, high resolution textures and more. Plays natively in 1080p for the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One consoles, and stunning 4K for PlayStation 4 Pro and Xbox One X, these versions capture the grit and grime of the City of Angels like never before.

L.A. Noire originally released for PC, PlayStation 3, and Xbox 360 back in 2011.

Maybe we can finally get the complete experience considering how memetastic was the first one

  • Mr0303

It was a decent detective game, but I doubt I’ll double dip. If they added the VR options for PSVR I could’ve considered it, but not as it is.

  • Uncle Ocelot

That’s nice and all but can we get a sequel sometime soon?

  • mega jew

You’re full of shit. The truth is you hated that bitch. You
followed her and dragged her into the car and took her out to the Moors.
She woke up, and you smashed her face in with a socket wrench. And then
you stomped her. You stomped her because she was a drunken whore and
she treated you like shit. You stomped her for all the years you had to
take it. You stomped her because you’re such a weak fucking sister and you wanted to erase all memory of it. Go on, try to deny it.

  • Mr0303

    Ohh, edgy!

  • DrearierSpider

I’m sure a port is inevitable, but the VR game is Vive only ATM.

  • DrearierSpider

Hopefully PC gets the graphics enhancements via an update if they’re substantial. Then again, this is R* were talking about.

  • Caffeine_Addicts_Anonymous

Oh, that one completely flew under my radar back when it was released. Well, looks like I’ll be on PS4, since the PC version doesn’t play nice with windows 10. Seriously, it’s such a shame that it hasn’t been patched to be compatible yet.

    You answered your own question.

I’m really not sure how LA Noire got on a Nintendo console, but I appreciate a good game getting another fifteen minutes of fame. If the Switch is gonna be the “plays games from 2011 box”, at least it has something besides Skyrim. Looking forward to moms buying this for their kids and getting offended at all the swearing and pedos

    Yes, I can read.

I assume it’s a joke since you had [Doubt] in your comment, and Cole just screams this line at a guy with no preempting

  • Mr0303

I suppose it could be, but because of the name I assumed it to be a troll.

  • sanic

Wait LA noire came out on pc? Never knew.

  • Yuno Gasai

looks like you made a mistake.

  • Mr0303

It seems to be the case. The humour of the statement went over my head.

It’s interesting that they’ve clearly put a lot of work into making all these new versions before something more popular like GTAIV, I guess they want to reestablish the IP.

  • catazxy

I think it all depends on the remaster’s sales….
