Atlus Opens Their Own European Publishing Branch

We’ve learned (via GamesIndustry.biz) that Atlus has opened a new publishing division for the European region.

The new team is based out of London, and they’ll be handling all of the European releases for the company moving forward. Previously, Atlus contracted out third parties like NIS America or Deep Silver to handling the publishing of their games in Europe.

Commercial director Simon Inch is heading the new team, which will add a public relations manager and product marketing manager in time. All staff will operate out of Sega Europe’s offices in London.

“It is a strong example of the growth we are experiencing as a company,” noted Jacob Nahin, senior PR manager at Atlus U.S.A. “Publishing in Europe is simply the next step for us. What this means initially for fans is a parity for launch and premium editions. From a business perspective, we’ll be better positioned to address the needs of each market in which we release our titles.”

Atlus noted that this new team will allow them to release the same special edition versions and products they’ve been regularly putting out in North America and other regions.
