Under Night In-Birth Exe: Late[st] Heads West on PS3, PS4, and PS Vita

Aksys Games have announced (via DualShockers) a western release for Under Night In-Birth Exe: Late[st].

The upgraded fighting game will launch across PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, and PS Vita sometime later this year in both North America and Europe – news confirmed at this year’s Anime Expo. The game’s PlayStation 4 release will also hit retail.

Under Night In-Birth Exe:Late[st] comes with various upgrades like new Tutorial and Mission modes, character balancing, and new characters Enkidu and Wagner. There will be 20 playable characters in total. Only the PlayStation 3 and PlayStation 4 versions are cross-play supported.

  • Any word on a PC version? I loved the first one.

  • SegGel2009

    19 Characters? I thought there were 20.

  • Nagato

Nothing from what I’ve seen, but going by Aksys’ recent slew of PC releases it seems likely enough. Just probably shouldn’t expect it day and date with the other versions.

  • Copy pasta from an older article I did. 20 including the two new chars, apologies but ty for pointing it out

  • Mr0303

Cool. Quite surprising that they are releasing the PS3 version as well.

  • Kainevil Rc

More than likely. Maybe a few months later after Console Release.

    YEEEEEEEEESSSSSSSSSSSS

  • NeoStrayCat

Be aware that most of the Steam ports of the fighters was mostly by Arc System Works. UNIEL included, Aksys isn’t involved with them. Though they did bring out both XBlaze games.

Although, chances are it’ll happen at some point for the PC/Steam release.

  • NeoStrayCat

For those aware, its playable at Aksys Booth at AX if anyone’s intrested. Second, the game will only have a physical release for PS4 version while Digital for PS4/PS3/Vita like in JP how they’re releasing it.

  • Zero Eternity

Really like how the artstyle looks.

  • Nice. I’ll have to check this out. Never heard of it but I’m interested.

I got the original with psn+, characters interacted in a weird fashion not sure if it was just the way they are or if it was a nisa tier translation.
