Digimon Story: Cyber Sleuth Hacker’s Memory Revealed for PS4, PS Vita

The latest V-Jump has revealed (via Jin115Digimon Story: Cyber Sleuth Hacker’s Memory.

The new game is set for a release on PlayStation 4 and PS Vita sometime later this year in Japan. A follow-up set within the same world as the original Cyber Sleuth, the game features an entirely new story set on the “other side” of the universe.

As the name implies, you’ll be taking control of a hacker named Keisuke Amazawa (you can change this name) as he is thrust into the digital underworld after being named in a criminal case he’s completely unaware of. Here’s a look at the new protagonist:

Over 320 Digimon are set to appear in the game, and various mechanics and systems from the original game will return – with some featuring upgrades or enhancements.

It seems like the game is getting a western release as well, as Bandai Namco Europe already filed a trademark (via Gematsu) for the phrase “Hacker’s Memory” today, March 20th.

Finally, Bandai Namco is including the original Digimon Story: Cyber Sleuth with Digimon Story: Cyber Sleuth Hacker’s Memory, as a bonus.

The question is… can you be a girl as well??

  • SuuLoliBoob

This is fucking great. And for those who don’t know, Cyber sleuth only had 240 digimon (not counting the free DLC ones , which would push it to 248/250)

  • Heresy Hammer

I’m not sure why but I don’t remember anything about digimon.

  • I don’t understand this : Bandai Namco is including the original Digimon Story: Cyber Sleuth with Digimon Story: Cyber Sleuth Hacker’s Memory

Is it a bundle? Hacker’s Memory is a new game or just a big extension?

  • I bought the most recent digimon game after playing and loving Cyber sleuth and got to learn the hard way that all digimon games are not created equal. Can’t wait for this one.

  • Bret

The question is, will it pull that stupid “only way to get certain fan faves is to pre-order” like the last cyber sleuth did? Because I’m still peeved about missing out on Beelzemon Blast Mode, just because I committed the horrible crime, of being responsible with my money.

PS4 version wasn’t released in Japan. No idea if the Vita version includes it though.

Cyber Slut’s and Next Order didn’t have their FeMC’s shown at release, so it’s possible.

  • Mr0303

I really liked Cyber Sleuth and I’m willing to play more of it. Just bring it over to the Vita as well, Bamco.

  • No_Good_Names_Ever

Cute lesibian lolis make it a preorder or season pass?

  • More Digimans is always good. I fucking love Digimon.

This is neat. I enjoyed the last Cyber game.

  • Audie Bakerson

Never preorder or season pass (unless the DLC bundle keeps that name when on sale for 5 cents total), but definite buy.

  • Sony wins again.

  • Tyrannikos

The protagonist unsettles me. Those eyes don’t look right.

  • sanic

I’m into it liked digi detective shit.

  • Audie Bakerson

Official Nipponese site is up. Better quality images and some new details

  • Zero Eternity

His default face is permanently surprised.

  • Am I the only one concerned that they’re making too many Digimon games too quickly? Seems like they’re going down the Assassin’s Creed route.

  • Renaldi Saputra

too many? how? this is another side of Cyber Sleuth, ofc it’s not really a whole new game, just a whole new story with upgrades

  • If they’re just reusing older assets, then that means they’re not being given enough time to develop and think out a new game properly.

  • Renaldi Saputra

Lol, do you think games like Pokemon didn’t do that? Certainly they also do…

  • Depends on the games, really. They’re also given a lot more time in the oven.
