Life-Sized Summer Lesson Waifu Statue Will Cost You $20,000

Bandai Namco are going all out in their promoting of Summer Lesson, their PlayStation VR-enabled waifu simulator.

Now, the company is offering a life-sized statue of the game’s protagonist, Hikari Miyamoto. Standing at 5’2 (or 160cm), Hikari will literally cost you the value of an automobile – 2,700,000 yen, or roughly $23,000.

In case you’re a normal person with personal restraint, there’s also a 1/8th scale version for roughly $83, which you can find here.

Bandai Namco Entertainment Asia will release an English language physical bundle version for Summer Lesson, which includes the full game and all of its downloadable content. It’s set for a release sometime earlier this year.

Previously, game producer Katsuhiro Harada said the game was unlikely to officially come west because of the “current climate” in the western gaming industry. If you missed it, you can find my first impressions of the game here.
