Compile Heart Teases New PS Vita-Exclusive RPG

Not keen on abandoning the PlayStation Vita in the wake of two new PlayStation 4-only game announcements, Compile Heart is teasing yet another PS Vita game.

Compile Heart will announce a new PS Vita RPG as well, sometime in the near future. The new teaser comes from their Twitter, where the company said a completely new PS Vita-exclusive RPG is being developed.

This past weekend, the Japanese developer announced two new PS4 games, Genkai Tokki: Castle Panzers and Megadimension Neptunia VIIR. Previously, Compile Heart published several completely new IPs on PS Vita, including MeiQ: Labyrinth of Death (pictured), Mary Skelter: Nightmares, and more.

We’ll keep you guys posted.

I quite liked MeiQ and I’m really looking forward to Mary Skelter, so I’m curious to see what they offer this time.

    Thank you compile heart

Why no mention of Hakuoki though?

  • Audie Bakerson

I expect it to be Vita only only in Nippon. In the west it will get a PC port.

  • Malcolm_Ecks

The amount of Vita games (and small studio Japanese games) hitting the PC in the West is insane.

  • sanic

Sony should be paying compile heart for keeping the vita alive at this point.

  • Kirill Neko Steshin

    Man…. This some real-life necromancy…..

  • chaoguy

Constantly arguing with myself whether to get a Vita, or pray for ports.

  • Matz

PS Vita “Exclusive”, but only in Japan, I think that everybody knows what’s going to happen when it’s released in Western Markets

  • Matz

The Vita is still profitable in Japan and the game is still coming for PC if it ever gets released in America/Europe

  • Loli de 42 Anos

get the vita. it’s worth it. I just call it the “go-to console for Otakus”.

  • Zero Eternity

They are pretty cheap nowadays and its nice if you like to play games on the go. Memory cards are still fucking expensive however. Sony needs to drop those goddamn prices already.

  • Fandangle

It’ll be ported to the PS4 soon enough.

  • The vita outlived the Wii U remember that.

  • thatguyEZ

I’ll likely grab this day one, the Vita is still a fantastic system.

  • alterku

    Vita is best weeb machine.

Exactly, that’s why it never fared that well in the west, the Vita is full of fan service and really niche titles it was never made to be a console for triple A games, just my kind of console, although it is a pain because you do have to import almost everything

Vita exclusive??? Do they hate money or what? I fully expect this to be out on the PC at some point, to be honest.

  • Fenrir007

The Vita is a great portable after Henkaku. Also, if you are a weeaboo, it has a lot of stuff for you.

  • Loli de 42 Anos

that is sad indeed, but on the other hand, I find that while the Vita doesn’t appeal to the masses, It did find a Dedicated Niche market in the West. if it Didn’t I don’t think we’d have games like Valkyrie Drive over here.

  • Leandro Teixeira

Exactly, hell, I rather have the Vita stay the way it is, at least now the japanese devs can run wild and make games full of eye candy and JRPGs with a lot of fan service. Out of all the consoles the Vita is the one that takes fan service to the max, plus we’re already witnessing Compile Heart doing those kind of games for the PS4 now, so we may have a bright future ahead of us. I gotta say when I bought the Vita 2 years ago I didn’t expect to import so many games
