Here’s one to get the old console war fire rekindled – Square Enix is considering an Xbox One port for NieR: Automata.
The Platinum Games and Square Enix-collaborative action RPG is currently only set for a PC and PlayStation 4 release. However, game producer Yosuke Saito has teased the Xbox One version, according to an interview with Game Rant.
Saito went on record to say the team will only consider an Xbox One version of the game if both the PlayStation 4 and PC versions of the game do well in sales.
He also confirmed the game will have PS4 Pro support, enabling the game to run at its already confirmed 60FPS, but at a 4K resolution.
NieR: Automata will launch for PlayStation 4 on February 23rd, 2017 in Japan – followed by a PS4 and PC release sometime next year, worldwide.
