Active Gaming Media, the parent company behind the gaming distribution website Playism, has released a countdown teaser website for Astro Boy: Edge of Time.

The teaser site “Trust The Ministry” contains the silhouettes of several iconic Osamu Tezuka characters such as Astro Boy, Black Jack, Phoenix, Hyakkimaru, Ambassador Magma and Rock Rolmes.

Also listed is the cast of developers and artists behind the project:

Artist – Hiroya Oku: Manga artist, creator of Gantz and Inuyashiki.

Composer – Akira Yamaoka: video game composer behind the music of Silent Hill series and working for Grasshopper Manufacture, Suda51 game dev studio.

Composer – Giovanni Giorgio Moroder: Italian DJ and songwriter that pioneered Italo disco and electronic dance music.

Artist – NekoshowguN: Illustrator that worked on Lollipop Chainsaw.

Artist – Satoshi Yoshioka: Industry Veteran.

Artist – Hiroshi Matsuyama: Anime director and president of CyberConnect2, video game dev studio behind .hack series and Naruto series. CyberConnect2 is also currently developing Final Fantasy VII Remake with Square Enix.

Artist – Hiroaki: Illustrator for SNK Playmore, who worked in projects such as King of Fighters series and as a freelancer for games like Advance Wars: Days of Ruin and GodHand.

Artist – Seiichiro Hosokawa: Character designer for .hack series.

Artist – Suda51: CEO of Grasshopper Manufacture and the director behind notable games such as The Silver Case, killer7, No More Heroes series, Shadows of the Damned, Lollipop Chainsaw and Killer Is Dead.

Project Supervisor – Macoto Tezuka: Film/Anime director and the son of the famous Osamu Tezuka.

More information will be available when the countdown ends. A game that should be mentioned is Astro Boy: Omega Factor; a Gameboy Advance game which also featured characters from the Tezuka-Verse.
