Square Enix and developer Eidos Montreal have revealed a new set of concept art pieces for Deus Ex: Mankind Divided.

Featured above as well as below, the new artwork showcases what their team of artists envision the futuristic cities of 2029 will look like.

Some clear nods to hot button topics of our political spectrum are featured subtly in the artwork, like a nod to the Black Lives Matter group via a protester holding a sign reading “Augs Lives Matter.”

There’s also a nod to the God-Emperor and American president-hopeful Donald Trump via protesters painting “Build bridges not walls” in another piece.

The game previously revealed its core story focus and theme: the mechanical apartheid, which garnered its own backlash. The developers are clearly not afraid to approach very touchy subjects in their own version of our near-future world.
