Never played the game, but I’ve always been impressed by the series’ art style and ideas. Cool stuff

  • The design for not-selvaria sucks. That’s not how you make a titty monster!

  • Dammage

Her tits are bigger than her head, didn’t they do it right?

  • Grey

Just me or do these screenshots make it look like a Dynasty Warriors game? Way too early to really tell, obviously, but all the melee combat focus feels weird in a game series that previously focused on people with guns and tanks.

  • chaoguy

Seconded. Might be because some UI elements are missing. Some of the other Valkria Chronicle games did have “melee” units (Gunblades, etc).

  • Juanalf

Doesn’t look like a Valkyria game but it still looks great.I wish they remaster 2 and 3.

Art style looks lovely. Some of these screenshots make it look a little more like a JRPG and/or Warriors game, however.

Seconding the suggestion to remaster 2 and 3.

  • Grey

Yeah and those were more support classes than anything. Where as this makes it clear that melee weapon is a front line choice.

Add to that the teaser trailer showing the male lead jumping around and stabbing a spider-tank with his sword, it feels even more off. Apart from the valkyrur, the previous games avoided the whole trope of ‘superhuman dude with sword beats military vehicles.’

I don’t know, it might be they’re just showing that stuff cause it looks more visually interesting than the characters standing there firing guns.

  • Kain Yusanagi

It seems like they’ve devised some technology that allows them some measure of the same power as the valkyur, which would make the “Azure Revolution” title actually make sense, same with the weapon glow.

  • Wonderkarp

I fear Sega will cowtow to the whinyness of certain online individuals and edit this game heavily before western release. I need Xseed/Marvelous levels of not giving a fuck

  • British_Otaku

Looks good but I want to play as someone with a gun whether that person is a nameless guard, an antisocial sniper or Vyse from Skies of Arcadia in this.

It isn’t going for the same angle as VC, I know but even if PlatinumGames were doing it I don’t want a 100% action game from this.

  • Wedge

Last I checked lolita dresses didn’t make effective combat uniforms. But I guess this is some kind of weird ARPG and not a strategy game anymore.

  • Janol

I hope it makes it’s way to PC eventually.

  • InfectedAI

Yeah this looks beautiful. I can only imagine how great it’d look in motion at high resolutions and frame rates.

  • InfectedAI

Has Sega done so with any of their games?

  • EdgyDude

    Damn! lookit dem titties!

  • Alistair

What is wrong with her left tit?

It looks like she got only 1 tit or left tit is bigger then the other. ?

  • Wonderkarp

not that I’m aware of, but in recent days, there’s a first time for anything

  • Aken Bosch

IIRC most woman have 1 bigger then other

  • Kudan

Different character designer and very questionable gameplay changes, this seems like a spin off coming from the name and changes but still looks good, just not what i’d expect from a Valkyria Chronicles 4.

Somehow, it makes me think of Drakengard too.
