Fallout 4 Has Gone Gold

fallout 4 10-23-15-1

Many people had wondered if Bethesda Softworks were able to make the November 10th release date for Fallout 4, however, the developer has just confirmed the game has gone gold.

The developer took to their Twitter and posted the above image, saying “Oct 23rd – the bombs have fallen. Fallout 4 is complete. All 27 versions.”

Fallout 4 will be releasing across PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One on November 10th.

  • NorBdelta

It better be finished and now a bug riddled mess on release.

  • Mark Samenfink

    Giggidy

  • Loli-Nox-Tan

Fallout 4 has gone gold! No need to test for bugs just yet, the players will find them for us

  • Heavily Augmented

Tell me lies tell me sweet litle lies…

  • Louis

Only 27 copies of Fallout 4?

  • Jumanji Joe

Every copy of the game is printed on solid gold.

  • Siveon

Unlikely, considering they’ve never released a game that wasn’t at least a little buggy.

  • this is a name

skyrim was considerably less buggy than new vegas which was considerably less buggy than oblivion
there’s hope it won’t crash every hour

  • Urobolus

New Vegas was developed by Obsidian, not Bethesda.

  • No_Good_Names_Ever

As in made from the most asparagus filled of golden waterfalls?

  • djluke_1993

Rumour has it that those 27 copies there are bug free versions and the only way to get them is to find the golden ticket in Todd Howard’s ass…

  • djluke_1993

Apparently Obsidian had alot of shot going against them aswell while making new Vegas.

  • Zanard Bell

I’m betting it now: a game-breaking bug on Day One.

A massive emergency patch on Day Two.

  • Zanard Bell

See that gold? You can skate on it.

  • Evil_Jesus

I’ll buy it when the first mega patch goes gold.
maybe hold out for the second patch.

  • Peter Popper

I can’t be the only one who’s chanting “CRASH CRASH CRASH” am I?

  • bdp

Day one patch still probably incoming though.

  • Madbrainbox

The reason the game will be bland on release is because modders will take care of that too.

  • sanic

How big will the day one patch be on each system, place your bets here, I’m calling 4 GB on ps4.

  • Loli-Nox-Tan

Every Elder Scroll & Fallout are good for a little adventure before the Modkits come out

  • Zanard Bell

I’m gonna get conservative and say 2.5 gigs on the PC.

  • iHodor

Oh man I can’t wait for this game to drop and have a mediocre story, poor writing, questionable gameplay decisions, and be glitched out the ass. And the series of defenses I’ll hear when it turns out to be underwhelming as hell and require mods to make it good.

    Just like Skyrim.

  • I’d be a jerk with 6 GB day one patch because someone forgot to put some assets to the master recording.

  • sanic

Any particular platform? Or are you betting on all 3 at 6 GB?

  • I’d bet on PS4 and XB1. PC might had smaller patch because they can inject the files directly. Consoles method of updating usually involves simply replacing files with newer files.

    My example:
    pak001.dat = 2GB, missing content 600MB

    PC:
600MB download, inject it into current pak001.dat

    Consoles
2.6GB file, replaces the installed (HDD) pak001.dat

    something like this maybe.

  • Eldhin Hellknight

    Dat useless PC disk…

  • Madbrainbox

I agree. It’s fun for a while. With the exception of Morrowind. That never stops being fun.

  • beerhammer

Toddler Howard! Not much respect for this guy tbh. Props to the actual devs who made FO4 happen though.

  • ReaperX30

    The waiting is getting hard.
