Fallout 4 PC Mods Will Be Compatible With Xbox One

As a PC gamer, the best thing about our chosen platform is that you can craft game-altering mods for them and never run out of content thanks to clever fans and their limitless imaginations. Though the consoles have flirted with the idea of doing the same (Little Big Planet comes to mind), there hasn’t been any real (official) way to get those PC mods over to your console game.

That ends today, since Microsoft just announced in their E3 press conference that such a compatibility will be added into Bethesda’s upcoming Fallout 4.

No specifics were given, such as how they’ll censor content (if they do at all) or what kind of delivery system they’ll use (In game browser, download through live itself?), but just knowing that such a thing is possible has, understandably, set off quite a bit of discussion in the community. Hopefully, we’ll all be able to get our nude mods and anime hair styles in without any problems.

No word if the PS4 will enjoy the same feature though.

UPDATE: Studio head Todd Howard has said mod support for Xbox One will launch in early 2016, with PS4 support coming sometime after.
