Germany is the home to some of PC Gaming’s best games. There’s Drakensang, Gothic and the Spellforce series just to name a few. Yet Kickstarter, the one place a lot of these cash-strapped companies could use to help them fund their admittedly very niche games, has not been available to them. It’s a problem for a lot of foreign developers, which has caused many of them to go to different platforms or to find a representative to stand in for their project stateside.
That’s no longer a problem now, since starting today Kickstarter is now officially welcoming German-based projects onto their service.
This is the 10th country that Kickstarter has launched in, with its planned 11th launch site being France this May 27th.
