Independent developer Tara Gaming has announced The Age of Bhaarat, a new dark fantasy Indian soulslike game.
The new game is being designed by veteran game developer Nouredine Abboud (Ghost Recon Highland) with support from actor Amitabh Bachchan, and author Amish Tripathi (Shiva Trilogy).
The Age of Bhaarat is in development for Windows PC (via Steam and the Epic Games Store) and unspecified consoles, though a release date wasn’t announced.
“The Age of Bhaarat is a landmark project that aims to propel India onto the global gaming map,” the announcement reads. “While India is home to a treasure trove of legendary lore, its expression in global gaming has remained largely untapped. Tara Gaming seeks to change that by merging the country’s creative capital with AAA production capabilities.
